Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by GovAssist, LLC ("UVC", "we," "us," or "our") in connection with your use of our websites, indicated under the heading Websites — (Covered Entities) ("Websites") and our services. The scope of this Privacy Policy covers both your use of the GovAssist, LLC website(s) and any other ways in which you may interact with GovAssist, LLC, such as when you speak to us on the phone or through a remote video call. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information. Information for California residents and individuals located in the European Union are also included within this policy.
Definitions
Personal Data
Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject/user"). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. As used in this Privacy Policy, Personal Data or Personal Information means information that relates, and is capable of being linked, to a particular person. It does not include de-identified or aggregate information.
Data subject/user
Any identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is processed by GovAssist, LLC (the controller responsible for the processing).
Processing
Any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data, whether by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
Consent of the data subject/user
Any freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of the data subject/user's wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by specific affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.
Information We Collect
We or our service providers may collect Personal Data and data that does not specifically identify you when you use our websites or services. The Personal Information collected depends on the type of interaction we have with a consumer, the products a consumer considers or purchases, and what information customers choose to share with us. GovAssist, LLC potentially collects the following categories of information about consumers, some of which may be considered Personal Information:
- Identifiers: real names, nicknames, postal addresses, online identifiers, IP addresses, email addresses, account numbers, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, and other government identification numbers.
- Other Types of Information: physical characteristics, telephone number, education, employment, financial information (bank account, credit card, and debit card numbers), and additional information you provide (questionnaires, surveys, consultations). Includes information identified in California Civil Code §1798.80(e) not otherwise categorized.
- Characteristics Protected Under Some Laws: age, national origin, citizenship, marital status, medical information, sex, sexual orientation, veteran or military status.
- Internet Information: browsing/search history, device information, interaction with our or partners' sites/apps/ads, browser settings, OS, referring/exit pages, clickstream; interaction with emails we send.
- Geolocation Information: where a consumer resides or is otherwise located.
- Audio & Visual Information: call recordings; visual recordings (e.g., premises visits or consented photos/video).
- Professional & Employment-Related Information: professional status and affiliations, employment history/status requested by your visa application.
Personal Data
We may collect Personal Data from you when you purchase our products or services, register to use our services, register to become an affiliate, or otherwise communicate with us. The Personal Data that we collect through our websites may include, but is not limited to, your first and last name, mailing address, email address, phone number, payment card information, and any information contained in your communications with us.
Information collected via Technology
We may automatically collect information about your use of our websites and services, such as the referring URL, the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to our services, the time and date of access, and other information that may not personally identify you.
Cookies & Preferences
We track this information using cookies, small text files, or other technologies. Cookies enable us to remember preferences and understand usage. We may use both persistent and session cookies. You may refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so may limit functionality.
We also work with third parties (e.g., Google Analytics) which may use cookies, pixel tags, beacons, clear gifs, and/or other technologies to collect information about your visits to our websites and other non-affiliated sites/apps over time to help us monitor and improve performance.
GDPR Notice on Email Status Tracking
Due to the sensitive nature of our service, email status tracking is a required security aspect to ensure the integrity and reliability of our communications. This tracking is crucial for maintaining the security, support, billing, and fraud prevention standards that our customers rely on.
1. Email Status Tracking for Support
- We track the status of emails ("Seen") related to support to provide timely and effective assistance to our customers. This data is not shared with third parties.
- This data is only tracked after a customer starts an application.
- Anti-Fraud Note: Tracking helps identify and prevent fraudulent activities by ensuring that support communications are legitimate and originate from correct sources.
2. Email Status Tracking for Billing
- We track the status of emails ("Processing", "Delivered" and "Not Delivered") related to billing to ensure accurate and timely billing communications.
- This data is only tracked after the confirmed sale of the service.
- This data may be shared with third parties only when deemed necessary to resolve charge disputes.
- Anti-Fraud Note: Tracking billing communications helps detect and prevent fraudulent billing activities and verify billing information is correctly processed.
By using our service, you acknowledge and consent to the tracking of email status as described above.
How We Use and Share Your Information
Personal Data
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or share your Personal Data with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. We share Personal Data:
- with vendors performing services for the Company at our direction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
- with any affiliates (if necessary to perform the service);
- where we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to meet legal process or enforceable governmental request;
- to enforce our Terms of Use, including investigating potential violations;
- to address fraud, security or technical concerns;
- to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public, as required or permitted by law;
- in the event of a business transaction (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), including in bankruptcy;
- pursuant to a subpoena, court order, governmental inquiry, or other legal process or as required by law;
- Professionals (including Lawyers and other Professionals): we may share consumer information with independent professionals accessible via products such as legal reviews and lawyer-assisted products;
- Government Entities: we are not affiliated with any governmental organization, but applications may be sent to the appropriate agency; certain Personal Information becomes public record when filed with federal/state government or a court (e.g., DHS/USCIS). This Privacy Policy does not cover those third-party actions.
- GovAssist, LLC remains liable under the DPF Principles if a third-party agent processes personal data received from the EU, UK, or Switzerland in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless GovAssist, LLC proves it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
If we sell all or part of our business, your Personal Data may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth herein.
We use Personal Data to:
- help us communicate with you (respond to questions, solicit feedback, provide support, inform about promotional offers);
- provide our services to you or to the owner of the associated account;
- operate, maintain, and improve our Websites and Services;
- comply with applicable legal requirements;
- enforce our Terms of Use and protect our interests;
- as otherwise disclosed at collection.
We may also use Personal Data provided during registration/purchase to advertise or market other products or services that may be of interest to you.
Automatically Collected Information
We may use technology to automatically collect certain information when you use our Websites or services. We use it to improve our service, customize experience, and analyze trends/usage. This Privacy Policy does not limit our use or disclosure of Automatically Collected Information; we may disclose it to partners, advertisers, and third parties at our discretion.
How We Protect Information
We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. Where needed, your account is protected by a password. Please keep it confidential and log out after use. We further protect your information with technological measures including encryption, firewalls, and TLS. However, no method is 100% secure. By using our Service, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Your Rights Regarding the Use of Your Personal Information
You may prevent us from sending marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or by visiting https://optout.govassist.com. We may continue to send administrative emails (e.g., policy updates).
Links to Other Websites
As part of the Service, we may provide links to other websites or applications. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or the information/content they contain. This Policy applies solely to information collected by us through our Websites and services.
Information for EU Customers and Visitors
If you are in the European Union ("EU"), this section provides information regarding your rights, GovAssist, LLC's responsibilities, and additional information regarding the processing of your personal data. GovAssist, LLC complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) Principles as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. If there is any conflict between this policy and the DPF Principles, the DPF Principles govern. Learn more and view our certification at dataprivacyframework.gov. GovAssist, LLC is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Lawful Basis of Processing
GovAssist, LLC processes personal data of persons in the EU based on the lawful bases outlined below. Where multiple bases are provided, the basis we rely on for any particular processing will be context dependent.

EU User Rights
- You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that GovAssist, LLC has about you;
- You have the right to request that GovAssist, LLC correct information about you if you believe it to be inaccurate;
- You have the right to request that GovAssist, LLC erase or refrain from using your personal data (subject to legal/business-relationship exceptions). If we cannot honor your request, we will inform you and explain why.

In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, GovAssist, LLC commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. EU individuals with inquiries or complaints should first contact us at compliance@govassist.com.
We have further committed to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment, or if we have not addressed your DPF complaint to your satisfaction, visit jamsadr.com/DPF-Dispute-Resolution for more information or to file a complaint. JAMS services are provided at no cost to you.
Under certain conditions, individuals may invoke binding arbitration to address complaints regarding compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF Principles (see Annex I). To invoke binding arbitration, email with subject line "Binding Arbitration Request" to compliance@govassist.com including your name, contact information, detailed description, and supporting documents.

GovAssist, LLC commits to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and comply with their advice with regard to HR data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you by posting an updated policy on our Websites with a new effective date. You should periodically check the Websites to review updates.
Children's Privacy
Our websites and services are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under 18 or allow anyone under 18 to sign up for the service and/or fill out an application.
Parents may arrange travel requirements for their minor child. We process these applications with the same security measures; data is gathered from the parent/guardian, not the minor.
If we learn we have gathered Personal Data from anyone under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you are a parent of a child under 13 and provided us Personal Data in relation to our travel services and want to ensure it has been deleted, contact us at support@usvisaconnection.com.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for the duration of the customer relationship, if any. We also retain your personal data for 6 consecutive months after our last interaction with you.
Online Behavioral Advertising
We may partner with third-party organizations (e.g., ad networks) which may use cookies, pixel tags, beacons, clear gifs, and/or other technologies to collect information about your visits to our websites and other non-affiliated sites/apps over time, including relationships among the different browsers/devices you use, to provide relevant interest-based advertising.
We adhere to the DAA's Self-Regulatory Principles. Visit optout.aboutads.info to learn more and to opt out on your web browser (choices may need renewal per browser/device or after clearing cookies). You will still see ads, but they may not be tailored to your interests.
California Users
If you are a resident of California, we previously indicated that we do not sell, rent, share, or trade your Personal Data. The law requires notice of additional rights: you may request deletion of your Personal Data and opt-out of the "sale" of your Personal Data by visiting contact.govassist.com and selecting "Do Not Sell my Personal Information".
You may request disclosure of the following:
- Categories of Personal Data we collect/sell/disclose for a business purpose;
- Categories of sources of Personal Data;
- Business or commercial purposes for collection;
- Specific pieces of Personal Data collected about you.
Categories we may collect or disclose for a business purpose include: name, alias, postal address, unique identifiers, online identifiers, IP address, email address, account name, browsing history, search history, interactions with websites/apps/ads, geolocation, electronic information, professional/employment-related information, and education information. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
International Users
If you visit our Websites or use our services from outside the United States, the information you provide may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you are located, including the U.S., which may not offer equivalent protection. For EEA users, you may have additional rights: access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and data transfer to another organization. We typically process Personal Data with consent (e.g., when you file an application) and/or to provide services, comply with law, or pursue legitimate interests not overridden by your rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent.
To exercise rights, contact us using the information below. In some instances, we may be legally required to retain or restrict disclosure of your data. If unresolved, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We do not use automatic decision-making or profiling. If we experience a personal data breach, we will notify you and pertinent agencies as required by law.
